Hi JJ:
Thanks for your long note, even it's kind of disappointing to read such notes in the morning... but anyway, thanks for that.
Yes I know that Pagico (what's wrong with this name?) is using a special architecture that nobody else is using. But hey, is there anything wrong here? Does it mean that Pagico has to behave *exactly* the same because everyone else behaves the same? No, I don't think so.

But I don't deny that the user experience is not perfect --- and that's why we've been working so hard. All previous major updates since its birth (May 2007) had dramatical changes to the software. And now we're currently working on a completely new UI system that will completely remove the "flashing" between interfaces, thus providing faster and smoother experience.

In my opinion (and many other users), Pagico's interface is better than those unified apps that we're facing everyday, and we love the great face of Pagico. Yes, I know that with a unified look it is easier for new users to get on hand (because there's less to learn). But hey, a good interface doesn't mean you don't have to learn at all, but you can learn it very quickly.

Most ported apps have aweful look, but we don't. About behaving unexpectedly, that's the price of being "new". Pagico behaves differently because of those great new ideas within it. But we're still working on it because it is good, but not enough.

About the installer and uninstaller thing, this is what we've been working on. Again, I'm sorry for the problem, and we're working on it.

Thanks!

You know, the other day I found this site and I was very excited. After reading about all the features and the blog it seemed as if someone had finally done something that I've been looking for for quite some time. However, after downloading and installing this pagico thing (what a name, btw)... I got SO disappointed. First, using that AIR platform.. bff... that's so crappy! The app is inside a window like in a web browser.. Then, each time a click one of the tabs on the top, the whole "page" reloads (therefore giving even more the feeling of being in a Flash site); text fields look weird, the interface looks actually poor and unfinished. The way to use it isn't too clear, either.

Bah... You have a good idea, but the implementation is quite poor, IMHO.
I understand the will of people wanting to develop cross-platform solutions but, unless they look like native applications and behave like native applications, they lose many points for me. That's why Java, or many apps migrated from linux to mac look so awful and behave so unexpectedly.

I'm sorry for all this complain, but I really got disappointed; maybe if the expectations after reading the site hadn't been so high I wouldn't have felt so badly. And to finish, the Pagico app uses an installer (this is really non-mac) but it doesn't provide with an uninstaller, and for some reason AppZapper did not uninstall it completely (I just found out /Library/StartupItems/PagicoService is still there).

Hi Hans:
The telephone recognize feature will be improved. Thanks for the feedback!
About the "list view" of topics, that's a good point. I'll see what I can do.

Hi Meng,

it is actually working rather well at my PC version.

Datadetection is working for some, as written not for a telephone number where we use a +, like in +31-XX-XXXXXX. If that is added I am very happy :-).

Other issue, not sure if other people experience the same, would be nice to choose between a list and expended view of notes and other data added in a topic. Now you have to scroll a lot. If there would be a possibility to print a complete overview, so in expanded view, that would be even better.
