About importing E-Mail messages (EML files)

Note: This feature is still in beta stage. We’re releasing this feature because it’s valuable, and it worked on our machines, but we do have reports that this could cause some problem, regarding to the email message you’re importing. So try this first in a new, blank topic!

Apple Mail and other industry standard email client software can export email messages into .EML file. And by dragging and dropping an EML file into a topic, Pagico will be able to recognize it, and display the subject, from, and date information.

Here is a step by step tutorial for doing this under Mac:
1. Select an email message, and drag it to your desktop.
By doing so, Apple Mail will generate an EML file on your desktop for the selected message.

2. Open a topic, import the EML file using drag and drop.
If everything goes all right, you’ll see something like this:
Importing EML files to Pagico
The date and sender’s email address will be recognized by the DataDetection feature, so you can use them easily. Double click on the message icon will open the email message.

We’re still working on improving this feature. So any comment on it is welcomed!
Also, we’re working on importing email messages by dragging directly from Apple Mail. Hopefully it’ll be available soon.

Well, that’s it!
Hope you enjoy! (And do let me know if you have any questions.)

Thank you very much!
