Yes, we're aware of this issue, and we're working on it, to enable users like you to restart the 15 day trial.
Stay tuned. A new release will be made very soon to address it.

I tried an earlier version of Pagico, but development was not on the level needed for my work. I'm hopeful that this version will be, but will need to try it out before buying. Unfortunately when I've attempted to try our the minor updates my system won't let me because it still has a remnant file somewhere from when I tried the original version. Any hope that prior trial users will be able to trial this new version?

Very good; thank you for the response. I've been using SugarCRM for my law office but I find that it is too heavy for a single user or small office. Pagico is much faster and cleaner so I'm giving it a serious look.

Thanks again for answering my questions!

Hi WPS:

Thanks for the respond! Regarding to your questions:
1. I know that remote access has been a great feature, for advanced users. However, we disabled it for security purpose. But that's because we're designing relevant features (network-based collaboration). So it won't be long before you can let your secretary to do the job remotely.
Also, if you really want, we surely can produce a patch to enable this.

2. Got you. Great idea! Can't agree more on that. Will work on it and see what we can do.
3. The license for Pagico 3.2 will be platform independent. So if you have one, you're licensed to have one installation running on any of the supported systems. But, please note that database from Pagico 2.3 on Ubuntu will not likely to be preserved when upgraded to 3.2.

Thanks!

Thanks for the reply:

1. I was on a Windows system. I'm sad your going to disable the remote access as it is very handy (secretary or assistant can input data remotely, for instance). Will there be a way for advanced users to enable it (and take the security risks)?

2. The above suggestion was referring to anywhere you enter links using brackets (activities for instance). Sometimes it's difficult to remember how the linked contact or topic was titled (Jim Smith, James Smith, Jim R. Smith, etc). Auto-complete or some sort of lookup for adding the [] links would be really handy. You might consider just placing it in the "Tags" area, and having it look up or auto-complete only existing tags, contacts, or topic titles (so many tags don't become inconsistent, like "call" vs "calls" "telephone"). Just a suggestion.

3. If I were to purchase a key for Windows and use it temporarily in a VM, would the same key work also for Ubuntu once the new edition comes out (is the key OS dependent)? Or should I just wait?

Hi WPS:
One more question, regarding to the error message you got, what system were you on? Mac? Windows? or Linux?

Hi WPS:
1. Thanks for contacting us about the issue. I'll be working on fixing the error message you mentioned.
Also, actually the remote access has been disabled, for security purpose. Although you can access it on your own computer, you won't be able to access it on the network.

2. Were you referring to the search function in the program?
3. Because our linux edition is almost brand new (built from ground up) and the fact that we almost don't have any purchased customer for the 2.x on Ubuntu edition, we are not going to provide upgrade support in the new edition on Ubuntu. So please stay tuned, and wait for the new release in just a couple of weeks.

Thank you!

Regarding #1 above, I just discovered that using http://127.0.0.1:1200/main appears to work OK.
And Pagico in Google Chrome is very fast!

Hi, I'm excited for this upcoming release!
Some other thoughts I've had on the program:

1. Has the remote access been disabled? http://127.0.0.1:1200 does not work, it throws an error in the Windows version:

Fatal error: main() [function.require]: Failed opening required '/Applications/Pagico/Pagico.app/Contents/Resources/Pagico//html/lib/General.lib.php' (include_path='.;C:\php5\pear') in C:\Program Files\Pagico\CodeX\error\stop.php on line 0

2. Some Topics can have rather long titles and I mistype them. Rather than have a bracket return without a link, what about a prompt of "Did you mean ...?" with something that is a close match. Another solution might be an ajax auto-complete in the tag field for existing tags, contacts, and topics.

3. If I purchase the Linux version now (2.x) for $39.95, will that work for the upcoming Ubuntu 3.x release? Will my 2.x data file be OK when I upgrade?

Thanks!
