  1. Hi Meng

Good work!! I am at home so I am trying the Mac version. Some comments so far:

    (a) As I understand it the ‘append item’ feature in the dashboard will append it to the end of the *list* to which that task belongs? i.e. not immediately after that particular task? This is fine, I just wanted to be clear – it certainly puts things in the right list, so well done!

By the way, on the order of tasks in the dashboard – how does Pagico decide which ones come first in the list?

    (2) The date preferences now have ‘D/M/Y’ added (instead of ‘D.M.Y’) as per my request, but it doesn’t remember the choice when I leave the Preferences panel, so my dates seem to default to M/D/Y which was confusing me! It remembers the first 2 options, just not the end one, D/M/Y – i.e the bullet poitn does get selected but is unselected if you go back there.

    (3) I love the new date picker, especially that you can specify the day for the start of week. One oddity, though – the click and hold feature for the previous years only shows ‘odd’ years, eg 2007, 2005, 2003 etc, whilst the same feature for the coming years only shows ‘even’ numbers in the list, eg 2010, 2012, 2014 etc. Is this a feature or a bug?

    (4) A usability comment: in the topics view when I hover over a list with the mouse, the ‘+ Add Item’ button appears in the bottom right hand corner. I sometimes end up clicking the wrong thing there! I think you could make it much nicer by changing that so that instead of the button being in the bottom right corner, it appears in the left hand blue vertical strip that contains the ‘delete’ and ‘move’ icons. i.e., just add an extra icon there, called ‘+’. What do you think? This would then match the ‘+’ icon in the dashboard view.

Also, a very minor point, the order of the icons in that left hand vertical strip is ‘move, delete’, whereas the icons that appear next to an individual item are in the order ‘delete, move’ … well this is the case if you normally read top to bottom and left to right, which might not be the case in all countries :-)

    (5) Finally for now and I expect it’s too late to change it but in the Persons view, I really liked the layout in V2, the fact that Contact details had a nice black backgound and appeared in the right hand navigation strip (in V2). I don’t suppose you could bring that back to V3? Or maybe I just have to get used to it.

Thanks for all the improvements. I’ll try the Windows version tomorrow at work.

  2. Hi Sapphie:

Thanks very much for your input!

    1) The order of tasks in dashboard flowchart
All tasks are listed by due dates — meaning overdue tasks will be on top of the list, today’s tasks will be on top of tomorrows. Got it?

    2) Got it. The issue will be fixed very soon.

    3) That’s not a bug. It just allows you to see more years at a glance, rather than listing every year in a super long drop down list. Once you are close to the desired year, you can always click (not click and hold) the left and right button to navigate year by year.

    4) I’ll think about adding a “+” icon in the left strip.

    5) Got it. The order of icons for list items will be changed.

I don’t think going back to V2 interface is something we would do in the near future, as that interface (although I loved it so much) proved to be hard to get on hand, and that’s why we headed for an ordinary look as all other Mac OS X apps. But we did plan about adding a “theme” feature, which might allow users to change to whatever theme they’d like. However, that feature is not yet on schedule.

    Many thanks for the input!!

  3. Would it be possible to implement “Send to database” feature for Quick Notes? I’ll email my mobile notes address, but have to no way to select which database synchronizes the data. When I open up my work database, it will update with data I intended for my home database. It would be nice if there was an option to transfer a quick note to a different database. Or, for that matter, it would be nice if topics could be transferred between databases, without having to export and re-import.
