What’s new?<\/h2>\n

Simply put, the new Collection feature can contain both containers (projects & contacts) AND data objects (notes and list items). Since it can contain notes (appointments) and list items (tasks), the new Collection feature can also be used as the Context section in a GTD system. Even better, the new Collection feature is much easier to use and configure than before. Good news all around, isn’t it? \ud83d\ude09 Now, let’s get to the details and let me show you some screenshots.<\/p>\n

Details<\/h2>\n

We completely rebuilt the Collection feature so that it’s genuinely much easier to use. Creating static collections is simple, and setting up smart collections is also very straight-forward. See the screenshot above: all you need to do is to give the collection a title (e.g.: Bugs to fix), and a keyword for it to automatically pick out content from your database (e.g.: @bug).<\/p>\n

The ability to contain data objects alongside with containers is the highlight here. Take a look at this collection (we use this to keep track of things to fix in our Pagico product line) here:<\/p>\n

This is a smart collection with a keyword of “@bug”. Pagico will automatically put in everything that’s labeled as “@bug”, including tasks, notes, files, and even projects that carry the same tag.<\/p>\n

So, if you’re using Pagico to implement your GTD system, you can easily use this feature as the Context section. The possibilities are endless: Set up a smart collection for “@call” to collect all the phone call tasks, and a collection for “@email” for all email tasks. Simple yet effective, isn’t it?<\/p>\n

Availability<\/h2>\n

Pagico 6 is currently scheduled to be released some time in February, 2013. A public beta program will be conducted a few weeks before the official release. If you’re interested in getting the beta, be sure to follow us on Twitter or keep track of our blog feed.<\/p>\n

Also, customers who purchased Pagico Professional Edition on or after December 6th, 2012 will get a FREE update to Pagico v6 when it comes out.<\/p>\n
