<\/p>\nThe last version of Pagico on Ubuntu was v2.3, released a long while ago. As Ubuntu was not our priority platform, we didn’t put too much energy on it. However, things have changed. Now we’re more interested in supporting this fantastic desktop platform than ever, and this time we’re not going to let it fall behind. Together with the [v3.2.2 software->\/blog\/pagico-v322-is-at-the-corner.html], the Pagico on Ubuntu brings you the best user experience and unique feature set as an organizer software.<\/p>\n
As our private testing with the upcoming Ubuntu edition is about to be finished, we’re excited to let you know that the Pagico v3.2 (Professional) is going to be initially released for both Ubuntu 8.04 and 8.10 systems as a public beta next monday (Jan 19th, 2009), closely followed with other editions.<\/p>\n
Right now all the major bugs in the upcoming Ubuntu release have been resolved, and we’re running the last round of private test, just to make sure it’s more likely to go well when distributed to the mass.<\/p>\n
After months of developing for the Ubuntu systems, we’re very pleased to find out that it exceeded our expectations in terms of user experience and performance, compared to other platforms especially our preferred platform, Mac OS X. And in many important areas it’s well better than the Windows edition.<\/p>\n

The “BETA” tag means this new Pagico on Ubuntu release is not mature enough in our point of view. It has a few minor bugs and hidden features, and we’re going to sort these out during the beta period. And at the mean time, please provide feedback if you encounter any issue. We highly appreciate it!<\/p>\n
This BETA program is going to take about 2 – 4 weeks until we’re confident for an official release date. And during this period, we’re offering special discount for anyone who purchases the license, as a way to say “thank you” in return to those Ubuntu users who patiently waited and provided many important feedbacks through out the development.<\/p>\n
