Pagico 2.2.0907: WYSIWYG, Safari 3 fixed, and improved performance

Pagico can now live with Safari 3 Beta

Good news for everyone, we’ve just updated both editions of Pagico on Mac to v2.2.0907. In this release, there are several important improvements:

  • Work with Safari 3 Beta
  • WYSIWYG editor for topic text paragraphs
  • No more Pagico folders in your root-level
  • Performance improvement (topic loads up to twice as fast)
  • UI Refinements
  • Bug fixes

And many more.

We’re very excited to include the latest version of the nightly built webkit, as a workaround for Safari 3 Beta issue. As a result of using custom webkit, the long-waited WYSIWYG editor can be implemented.

In this release we included 2 executable applications to launch Pagico: one is the original Pagico application which allows you to launch Pagico in stable mode (no WYSIWYG, won’t work with Safari 3 installed), the other is called “Pagico (beta)” (what?! beta again?!) which will be using the new webkit.

Therefore, if you’ve installed Safari 3 beta, or if you want to take the advantage of the WYSIWYG editor, you’ll need to launch Pagico with the latter one.

You’ll find an “important notes” document after installing this new release, make sure to read that, all right?

Well, that’s what we’ve been doing lately. As all of those are relatively new, we’d love to hear from you, as always.
