Video Sneak Peak: Pagico 3, it’s so much faster

Pagico logoIt’s thanks giving! But I’m still working. 🙂
This time it’s a short video clip about the upcoming Pagico 3. As stated before, we’re working on almost totally rewriting the entire UI system (no, it’s not about getting a better face for Pagico) so it’ll have much better user experience in terms of responsiveness (performance) and many user-friendly features.

Update x1
Thanks to the tip from Borge, we’re switching from YouTube to Blip.tv, which provides much better video quality in terms of resolution and features of the flash player. The video above is using Blip now. Although it’s still a little bit blurry (because we didn’t re-make it), it’s much better than the previous one. 🙂

Here are several notable things in the video:
1. It’s SO MUCH faster.
2. If you are leaving a tab without saving something (let’s say, you have a text paragraph in editing mode), Pagico will remind you about it, so you won’t accidentally lose data.
3. The new “hide some tags in TagExplore feature” option is available.
4. Hot-key for search, real-time results, and keyboard control in the search results.
5. Use mouse to scroll long texts in text boxes (this is not in the movie, because my mouse doesn’t have it).
6. “Create New folder” shortcut available

Currently we’ve just finished the re-factor of the UI system (as you can see from the video), and more new features are about to be implemented after this (we’re very exciting about this!).

Hope you’ll enjoy, and have a great holiday!

A small update about the system requirement of Pagico
If you are using 10.4 with Safari 3 beta installed, please upgrade to 10.4.11 (which comes with a stable version of webkit), or otherwise Pagico will crash after launch.
We’ve removed support for Safari 3 beta because that was just a work-around.
