Workspace Servers Maintenance Scheduled (UPDATEDx2: Done)

A maintenance job for U.S. East Coast workspace servers is scheduled to take place on December 21st, 10:00pm Eastern Standard Time. About 10 minutes worth of down time should be expected.

Dear all,
The Workspace Service was kicked off last week, and we’ve been getting quite a bit of attention, which is exciting! But we also noticed that occasionally the East Coast servers was a bit slow to respond from time to time. Therefore, we’d like to perform a small upgrade process for the East Coast servers by allocating more resources to it.

Thanks to the cloud technology, the upgrade should be seamless with only a few seconds of down time. However, it’s still considered a major operation. So, we’d like to keep the service down for just a few minutes to make sure everything is working fine before re-enabling the service. The upgrade is planned to take place on December 21st, 10:00pm Eastern Standard Time (about 12 hours from this very moment).

Again, the upgrade should be seamless with only a couple of minutes of down time. After the upgrade, all workspaces on East Coast servers should be snappier than ever, so I’d say the few minutes down time is worth it. 🙂

UPDATE 1: The maintenance job is in progress. The East Coast servers are going offline for approximately 10-15 minutes.

UPDATE 2: The system upgrade has successfully finished. We tested it and made sure everything is working fine. The upgraded system is much more powerful than before, and as a result, the syncs are much faster than before.

Cheers,
Ryo
